Plastic and Rubber Applications
Optisil plastic and rubber application grades are designed to improve mechanical strength, rigidity and resistance to abrasion. It is used as rheological modifier and functional filler. With cost saving solution and high performance properties, Optisil is the best white reinforcing pigment for plastic and rubber applications.
In plastics, smooth surfaces, dimensional stability, electrical-chemical resistance, improved impact and tensile strength, good processability and moreover are obtained by using Optisil plastic grades. Thanks to its structure, Optisil ensures high degree of hydrophobicity.
Optisil kaolin clays are commonly used in thermoplastic elastomers and rubber insulation on high voltage lines. One of the most uses of kaolin is in PVC cables where improved electrical properties are indispensable.
